It’s easy to say “YES” or “NO” when everyone is in agreement.
COURAGE is required when we have a different point of view than others or we disagree with a decision taken by the majority. We should not be afraid of sharing our approach or challenge openly. It’s part of a constructive challenge process where all voices are heard and all points of view are shared.
There are two ways of disrupting group thinking.
First, a direct one, when we share our thoughts or doubts in an open way. When we want to do it, our thought process and rationale should be rational.
Second, an indirect one, is asking questions which help others to reflect more or to see a problem from a different perspective.
COURAGE is the ability to say “YES” when others say “NO” or to say “NO” when others say “YES”.
