FLUENT IN LISTENING

We live in a world of talkers. People can generate endless streams of words, speaking for hours about anything and everything. But how much of it carries real meaning?

I’ve chosen a different path – I’ve become fluent in listening.

When people share their stories, whether they’re celebrating victories or processing failures, I listen. Not just to their words, but to what lies beneath them.

Listening is the gateway to understanding:

  • What people truly need
  • What they genuinely value
  • Why they feel joy or pain
  • What drives their decisions

When we truly listen, we don’t just hear words, we CONNECT, we learn, and we grow.

Studies show we spend 45% of our communication time listening, but retain only 25% of what we hear. This gap between hearing and truly listening is where opportunities for genuine connection are lost.

When was the last time someone truly listened to you? How did it make you feel?
